The Feed:
- The former lead singer of the post-hardcore band, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, was found dead on Wednesday morning. The cause of death is unknown but drug abuse is suspected.
- According to Forbes, 2014 marks the first year ever that not one single artist’s album has gone platinum.
- Two bands we love released new singles this past week; Enter Shikari’s “The Last Garrison” and Bring Me The Horizon’s “Drown”.
- Due to an iTunes glitch, Taylor Swift released an eight second track of white noise onto the iTunes store. But that didn’t stop the track from reaching the top of the Canadian music charts shortly after!
On The Plate:
- There’s been a string of bands losing band members as of lately. Which got us thinking: when exactly is the appropriate time for a band to stop using their current name and banner after a certain number of original members have long since left? Sound Off:
- Mike: The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer was released early this week. Need I say more?
Adam: Adam reviews “We Will All Evolve” by Our Last Night, “A Spark To Believe” by Miss Fortune, and “Back To Oblivion” by Finch
